BlueDune ("BlueDune," "we," "us," or "our") is a subscription tracking application. We are committed to protecting the privacy of our users ("you"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have in relation to it.

2. What We Collect

We collect only what's necessary to provide the service. Here's a breakdown:

• Account information: Your email address and a hashed (never readable) password when you create an account.
• Subscription data: The subscription entries you manually create — names, costs, billing cycles, and renewal dates.
• Device and usage data: Basic app usage analytics (e.g. feature interactions, crash reports) to help us improve the app. This data is aggregated and anonymised.
• Payment information: Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy. We do not store your card details. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded and your subscription tier.

We do not collect: bank account credentials, transaction history, financial account numbers, or any data from third-party financial institutions. BlueDune is fully manual — you are always in control of what goes in.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To provide and maintain the BlueDune service
• To send renewal alerts and in-app notifications you've opted into
• To manage your account, subscription tier, and billing status
• To respond to support requests and improve customer experience
• To detect, prevent, and address technical issues or abuse
• To improve the app based on anonymised usage patterns

We will never use your data for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We only share data with third parties in the following limited circumstances:

• Lemon Squeezy: Our payment processor. They handle billing securely. See their privacy policy at lemonsqueezy.com.
• Infrastructure providers: Cloud hosting and database services we use to run the app. These providers are contractually bound to confidentiality.
• Legal requirements: If required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of BlueDune or our users.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account and subscription data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain it for a longer period (e.g. billing records).

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Correction: Ask us to correct inaccurate data
• Deletion: Request that we delete your account and associated data
• Portability: Request your subscription data in a machine-readable format
• Objection: Object to how we process your data in certain circumstances

7. Push Notifications

BlueDUne uses push notifications to alert you about upcoming renewals. You can manage notification permissions through your device settings at any time. Turning off notifications will not affect your account or subscription data, only your ability to receive alerts.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS). Access to personal data by BlueDune staff is strictly limited and logged.

No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@subguard.org.

9. Children

BlueDune is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete that information.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of BlueDune after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
